Hello Folks, So I'm 9 months into the adult world of employment. I enjoy what I do, but things aren't entirely what they're cracked up to be. I was hoping for a full time position by now, but no such luck yet. Right now it's all contract work. Having work in these times is great (there's kind of a hiring freeze in the government, which is where I've gotten my work term experience), but contract work is a like a never ending cycle of uncertainty, and every 4 months I get to have a whole new sense panic and fear that I won't find work. Soooo.. Yeah I live. I've finished my Masters, I'm back amongst the living and making with the doing of things and such. Sadly, I didn't touch anything artistic - drawing, painting, writing, crafting etc. It's been an utter dry spell. However, today I did someting stupendous. At least for me. I worked on a felting craft! I successfully made a needle felted ball :S and a mousehead that looked like a cat tore it off and melted it over a little cat-sized bbq. It's a work in progress. :S I hoped it would be a more of a ... flat learning curve. Learning to make cute fuzzy little animals is more difficult than I had anticipated. I'm also hoping

Very briefly, I'm back, I've been off wandering, doing things like school and work. But I'm on the home stretch of my workterm now (one class for the whole semester), and recently I've been working on artsy things. Nothing momentous, just practice. Making myself stick my hand back in. What I've learned today: perspective is hard and she's a bitch about it too :( *grump* Sidenote: I can draw a damn good peach. -Beollain
